  1. Hi Suresh, thank you very much for your philanthropic service, I am an avid reader of your website from North America. What is your take on the new Sundaram Mutual Fund’s new “Multi-Factor Fund” NFO. Their presentation for the NFO touch base with a few novel ideas and their combination. Is this fund worth considering or just old wine in new bottle, thanks in advance, Hari

    1. Here’s the summary of Sundaram Multi-Factor Fund which uses rules based strategy:
Fund Objective: Seeks long-term capital appreciation using a systematic, data-driven investment process.

Multi-Factor Strategy: Combines five proven factors—Value, Quality, Momentum, Growth, and Size—to create a diversified and balanced portfolio.

Reduced Risk: Aims to minimize dependence on any single factor, reducing the risk of underperformance during specific market phases.

Disciplined Portfolio Construction: From a total of 250 stocks, the top 25 stocks per factor are selected; after overlap adjustments, around 85 stocks are included and rebalanced quarterly.

new fund offers does not have performance history, hence less attractive compared to existing active funds. If you are attracted with their investment theme and strategy, you can invest, otherwise you can invest in existing active funds which already proven their performance
