Our View about this fund

This is a multicap mutual fund which invests in large cap, midcap and smallcap with minimum of 25% per category. This fund too performed well in short to medium to long term. I am not a big fan of multicap funds owing to the limits in their investment strategy. Since it invests in midcap and smallcap stocks too, this fund is considered as high risk. If you have a high risk appetite and willing to invest for a medium to long term, you can invest through SIP.

What did we learn from this list?

If you observe, 4 out of 5 mutual funds are mid cap funds. I always say that midcap or small cap mutual funds reward investors with superior returns. As an example, if you want to create ₹ 100 Crores through SIP mutual funds, you need to have midcap and smallcap funds in your portfolio. However, these are riskier too. In the short term, these funds can underperform the index, however in medium to long term, these are always rewarded with handsome returns. Again, only high risk appetite investors should invest in such mid cap or small cap funds.
