  1. Sir

Recently I closed my trading account from angel broking ltd. I have a question that what about my demat account number then,Is it also closed with trading account? Also I would like to know about the debenture which I invested in a pvt financial company as I invested in debentures on the basis of demat number which was given me by angel broking before closing trading account.

  2. Suresh, very useful article. A table would have made it much easier to compare. How does smaller players like FundsIndia compare?

  3. Is any of the above brokers offering tranding platform in Debit segment? Like trading in NCDs and Bonds

  4. Hi Suresh ,

      1. Hi Suresh,

Your information provided is certainly useful.

I use Sharekhan and the charges are certainly lesser than that of ICICI Direct. (Annual Charge: Rs 400, Trading: .5% , intraday (.05%). They will also reduce it if you can bargain. I have trading charges lesser than half of what has been mentioned for ICICI Direct because of bargain 😉 however, they are lesser than that of ICICI without bargain too.

      2. Hi Suresh, do you mean sharekhan brokerage charges are high compared to these? I'm new..can you pls give an example

    1. Hi srikumar, I already indicated in the article. This article is only about full service brokers. Zerodha is discount broker, they do not offer all services.

  5. Hi Suresh

Good comparison, needed your opinion on the best and highest interest rate in secured option with quarterly payout for senior citizens who want to invest 25 lakhs ?

  6. Hi Suresh

My observation has been banking companies like ICICI, HDFC etc charge very high brokerage. They are only good if one is looking for investment. Even for that matter one can still consider pure broking firm like motilal oswal, Sharekhan etc. For traders definately trend is definately towards disccount brokers due to low brokerages.

    1. Hemang, 200% agree with you. If you are frequent trader or day trader, you should go for discount brokers. I have indicated the same in this article

      1. Thanks for the clarification. Will be interesting to see a comparison of 2 or 3 full service brokers with some of the firms on this list.
