Two health insurance plans launched by Airtel Payments bank
Airtel Payments Bank in collaboration with Bharti Axa General Life insurance has launched two health insurance plans:
a) Bharati Axa Group Health Assure
b) Bharti Axa Group Hospital Cash
Features of Covid-19 Bharti Axa Group Health Assure
Here are the key features.
1) This is fixed assurance cover where if you are diagnosed with covid-19 positive or if you gets quarantined at a government hospital / military establishment, you would get fixed 100% as a lump-sum.
2) The min health insurance premium would be ₹ 499 including GST.
3) The min sum assured would be ₹ 25,000.
4) The tenure of the health insurance plan is 1 year.
5) No Pre-medical check-ups required.
6) Airtel Payments Bank customers can only apply for this health insurance plan.
7) One should not be suffering from covid-19 symptoms to take this policy.
Features of Covid-19 Bharti Axa Group Hospital Cash Policy
Here are the key features.
1) Insured individuals would get health insurance benefits if they are diagnosed with covid-19 as positive or if they get quarantined at government hospital / military establishment.
2) Health insurance company would provide per day fixed allowance on hospitalization with enhanced ICU cash.
3) One would per day fixed benefit of ₹ 500 or ₹ 1,000 depending on the plan chosen for each day of hospitalization for maximum of 10 days.
4) No Pre-medical check-ups required.
5) Airtel Payments Bank customers can only apply for this health insurance plan.
6) One should not be suffering from covid-19 symptoms to take this policy.
What happens if one is quarantined at Government hospital / military facility / establishment but diagnosed as negative?
If an individual is quarantined for at least 14 days at government hospital or military establishment and diagnosed negative, they are entitled to 50% of the sum-assured.

How to buy these covid-19 health insurance plans offered by Airtel Payments Bank?
One can apply on Airtel Thanks App (visiting banking section) or visit te nearest active point of sale (POS) of Airtel Payments Bank.
Should you opt for Covid 19 Health Insurance offered by Airtel Payments Bank?
Health insurance plans offered by Airtel Payments Bank / Bharti Axa Geneneral Insurance for covid-19 would help in this crisis situation. If you already have a health insurance plan, those are anyways covered for covid-19. If you don’t have a health insurance plan and you need to travel frequently, I would advise you to take a health insurance plan on first priority. Airtel Payments Bank could be optional one which is available only for its customers. You can opt even this plan as it comes as low as ₹ 499 premium. But read the terms and conditions before you apply online.
