Last week, I was going through several websites on best investment plans in India and found that some experts have given good advice. I thought I should summarise their views into a blog post so that it would be useful for my blog readers. Which are the best investment plans in India as per these experts? Which are the top investment plans where investors can benefit and get higher returns? Experts have indicated several investment options and ideas pertaining to children education and retirement too.

Best Investment Plans in India by Top Experts


1) Parsha from Smartmoneygoal says while there are several Best Investment Ideas and Plans in India to invest, some of the investment options are favourite to ever one. Here is the list of investment ideas he feels one can invest.

  • National Savings Certificate
  • Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS)
  • Bank Fixed Deposits
  • Sukanya Samriddhi Account Yojana Scheme – If you are risk averse, this is one of the good investment options. This scheme sole aim is for daughter education or marriage. There are some new guidelines that came in 2016 for Sukanya Samriddhi account which would help you further.
  • National Pension Scheme (NPS)
  • Atal Pension Scheme – Last year, Govt.of India has launched this investment option. For non-income tax payers, the government will contribute 50% of your contribution for 5 years or Rs 1000. Whichever is lower is applicable.

    Very informative article, great work. I am myself a prospective investor and have some funds in hand to invest. I have recently read about peer 2 peer lending. Can you put your views on this?

  2. Suresh. I want to invest in secure NCDs from secondary markets. You have suggested somewhere that we should buy NCDs which are going to mature in 1 or 2 years. Can you please advise me the best options available ?
