During Akshaya Tritiya, it has special offer, where gold buyers would get 7% discount on retail prices. The gold coins are 99.99% pure and Swiss-Manufactured. The gold coins offered are in the denomination of 1gm, 5 gm, 8 gm, 20 gm and 50gm. The special discount offer on gold coins is available up to 30-Jun-2013. These gold coins bear logo of India Post Office.

Is this a good offer of buying Gold coins from India post office ?

Gold prices have dropped from its peak of Rs 3,300 per gram to Rs 2,600 per gram. It is currently available at Rs 2,800 per gram. At current gold prices, 7% discount from Indian post office gold coins would be incredibly attractive opportunity for the gold lovers.     Sir , when we ask about the gold price 3530/- less discount to the post office. They said that this price was issued by the site. .we complaint it to the particular officer. But no response.

    • Gopika, Not sure how I can i help you. They need to provide the discounted rate which is announced by them. You do not have any choice except to contact the post officer and get the facts.

    Im from kerala. I purchase gold coin from post office on akshaya tritiya. . The price taken by them was 3530rs per gram .that time i didnt knew about the price. But now after searching on gold purchase i realise that the price is so much . . .Pls tell my what to do. That time gold price is around 2800

    • Hi Gopika, Not sure how you ended up in paying high money where there was discount being offered. You can still go to PO and check about how they charged Rs 3,530 when the actual gold price was only Rs 2,850 minus 7% discount.
